CASE STUDY | Brand Identity Application, Web Design, Spatial Design, Merchandise Design

Sugar Salt Sand — Vacation from the ordinary in the heart of old town Fort Collins, Colorado.

Joining the project after the brand strategy and visual identity were established, I led the application of this new restaurant identity, including the design of their website, menu system, dining room accent wall, and a comprehensive merchandise line.

Bringing the Brand Into the Space

The identity extends into the restaurant interior through a custom-designed wallpaper that wraps the space and reinforces the brand’s atmosphere.

What began as a graphic element becomes architectural—adding texture, depth, and a sense of immersion that supports the overall experience.

Designed to Be Handled, Read, and Remembered

I designed the complete menu set, creating a system that balances clarity with personality.

Typography, layout, and material choices were considered together—ensuring the menus feel intentional, easy to navigate, and aligned with the overall brand tone.

A Tactile Brand Moment

Inspired by vintage travel ephemera, I created a series of promotional postcards that reinforce the brand’s “vacation” positioning.

They function as both marketing and artifact, something guests can take with them, extending the experience beyond the restaurant.
